JUNE 25: In the run-up to the 38-day-long Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra which is set to commence on July 3, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir VK Birdi said that all the security arrangements are in place for the holy pilgrimage.
While speaking to the press in Pahalgam, Birdi said that robust multi-layered security arrangements have been finalized for the convenient and hassle-free Amarnath Yatra 2025.
“As compared to the previous year, we have multi-layered and in-depth security arrangements for smooth conduct of Amarnath pilgrimage,” VK Birdi said.
While elaborating, Birdi shed light on the crucial aspects wherein security infrastructure has been enhanced.
“Each area is undergoing comprehensive Mock Drill which is aimed at enhancing preparedness at times of contingency. These drills are underway in all parts of the valley to ensure the all the forces remain vigilant,” Birdi said.
Additionally, the Kashmir Police Chief highlighted the important contribution of local residents for the smooth conduct of the yatra.
