JUNE 13: As per the data released by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, cases of COVID have surged to 7,131 with one death bringing the death toll to 78 since the beginning of year 2025.
It is learnt that Kerela tops the list of Covid-19 positive states with 2055 active cases, followed by West Bengal with 747 cases, Delhi at 714, Maharashtra 629 infections, Karnataka 395 active cases, Tamil Nadu at 220, and Uttar Pradesh at 251.
The most recent fatality is reported from Kerela which includes 82-year-old man with co-morbidities of Type 1 respiratory failure.
Notably, the virus does not pose any alarming threat like previous time and the resilence about the severe disease can be comprehended by the recoveries touching 10,976 since the inception of this year.
The Health authorities have urged citizens to be cautious and reiterated hygiene as mandatory measure along with SOP mechanism to combat the challenges effectively.
