JUNE 20: Owing to maintenance and operational reasons, Air India has called off several international and domestic flights on Friday.
It is learnt that the flights which were cancelled include between Dubai to Chennai, Delhi to Melbourne, Melbourne to Delhi and Dubai to Hyderabad on Friday.
The domestic flights that were cancelled – Pune to Delhi, Ahmedabad to Delhi, Hyderabad to Mumbai, and Chennai to Mumbai.
Notably, the airline has offered full refunds and is assisting passengers with alternate travel plans.
Air India has announced it will suspend services on 38 international flights per week and impose a cut on three overseas routes for about three weeks.
The airline statement read, “We apologise for hardships faced by the passengers, besides alternative arrangements for them to fly to their respective destinations are underway. This will be done in a stipulated time-frame.”
