JUNE 26: LG Manoj Sinha said that there has been decline of 10 percent in Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra registration following the Pahalgam carnage.

“Before the Pahalgam attack that occurred on April 22 the pilgrim registration for the holy pilgrimage was at great momentum but after that there has been drop in 10 percent,” LG Sinha said.

LG Manoj Sinha stressed upon the fact that 2.36 lakh devotees had registered before the dastardly incident in Pahalgam, adding that after the confidence fostered by the J&K administration security forces, so far 85,000 pilgrims have reconfirmed their registration.

LG said that the terror attack cast a shadow on the entire Jammu and Kashmir.

LG Sinha reiterated that apt arrangements and multi-layered security preparations are in place for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

Pertinent to mention the pilgrimage of Amarnath Ji will commence on July 3 and culminate on August 9, 2025.

Earlier, IGP Kashmir VK Birdi has said that robust communication channels, seamless synergy among the forces and enhancement in personnel deployment have been ensured for the smooth and hassle-free conduct of yatra.
